Both members of a United Kingdom-based indie band, along with their tour manager, were killed in a car crash in Arizona, PEOPLE can confirm.
The Liverpool duo Her’s, made up of Stephen Fitzpatrick, 24, and Audun Laading, 25, died along with tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson, 37, on Wednesday, the band’s record label said on Facebook. According to the band’s Facebook page, they had played a show in Phoenix on Tuesday, and were driving to Santa Ana, California, for a Wednesday show.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety confirmed that a car crash took place on Interstate 10 around 1 a.m. on Wednesday, when a pickup truck collided with a van, killing four people — the three people in the van, and the driver of the pickup truck, a 63-year-old male from Murrieta, California.
“On March 27, 2019, just after 1 a.m., a wrong-way driver was reported eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-10 from milepost 64,” the Arizona Department of Public Safety told PEOPLE. “DPS and La Paz County Sheriff’s Department responded. A short time later, a Nissan pickup collided head-on with a 15 passenger Ford van in the left lane of westbound I-10 at milepost 67.8. Both vehicles were engulfed in flames.”
Authorities found no evidence to indicate that either vehicle had used their brakes prior to impact. However, “An alcoholic beverage container was located in the debris field. The driver of the Nissan, and all three occupants in the Ford van are deceased.”

Heist or Hit's management said they were "heartbroken" at the news, and described the musicians as one of the UK's "most loved up and coming bands."
"Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label. As humans, they were warm, gentle and hilarious," the label said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
It described Her's musical talent as "astonishing," with an "aptitude for melody, fun and entertainment combined with a complexity that was as sophisticated as it was stylish."
The band's fans also expressed their dismay. "So sad to wake up to this news. Loved these two, rest easy," one fan wrote on Twitter.
Another wrote: "Such awful, awful news. Always put on a great show and could tell how much they loved this music and each other. All the love to you all."
Fitzpatrick came from the town of Barrow-in-Furness in the north of England, according to his Facebook account, while Laading was from Kristiansand, on the south coast of Norway.
The duo met while studying at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. They gained recognition after being named as "ones to watch" by the Guardian and featuring on the BBC Music Introducing new artists platform.
